We Don’t Just Hire People — We Build Teammates.
(And the people who keep the whole thing flying.)
Hudson is a different kind of security, doors, automation, and locksmithing company.
We’re part construction, part tech, and part problem-solvers — the crew that takes the custom, awkward, high-stakes job and makes it work.
We protect people, property, and livelihoods. We never forget the responsibility that comes with that.
We also take the work seriously and the people human. We laugh together. A lot. We roast each other’s inner nerds (lovingly). We keep the small, slightly ridiculous rituals that remind us we’re a team, not just a roster.
If you’re the person who can keep the schedule tight, the customer informed, and the quote accurate — without losing your composure or your sense of humour — keep reading.
The Role: Operations Coordinator — Service, Projects & Estimating.
This is an inside role with real weight. You are air traffic control for service, project support, and quoting.
You sit between the customer, the service manager, the technicians, and the project team. A call or an email comes in. You turn it into a scheduled job, a clear quote, a clean invoice, and a customer who doesn’t have to chase anyone.
The mix shifts with the season. Some months you are mostly dispatch, follow-up, and keeping the board honest. Other months you are building quotes, supporting project admin, and helping work move from “interested” to “booked.” That flexibility is the job — not a side hustle we forgot to mention.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Customer experience: Answer calls and emails with clarity. Set expectations. Keep clients updated. Solve the small problems before they become angry ones.
- Scheduling and dispatch: Build and protect the daily board for field technicians. Match the right person to the right job. Adjust when a site runs long, a part is late, or a priority jumps the queue.
- Quoting and estimating: Prepare clear, professional quotes for service work and smaller projects. Pull scope from notes, photos, drawings, and technician input. Price labour, materials, travel, and reality — not wishful thinking. Follow up so good quotes don’t die in an inbox.
- Project support: Help the project team with the administrative load on larger installs: paperwork, scheduling coordination, documentation, and handoffs so work doesn’t stall between office and field.
- Invoicing and closeout: Make sure completed work gets invoiced accurately and promptly. Chase missing notes, photos, and sign-offs so the job is actually finished — not just “mostly done.”
- The operating system: Keep records clean. Track job progress. Hold the line on digital documentation. If the field system is messy, everything downstream gets expensive.
How the Year Flexes:
This is not three jobs glued together. It is one operations seat that leans with the work:
- Heavy service season: more dispatch, customer communication, and service quotes.
- Heavy project season: more estimating support, project admin, and coordination.
- In between: tighten the process so the next busy stretch is cleaner than the last one.
If you like a job that stays interesting because the work mix changes, this is that job.
Where This Role Can Go:
We don’t do dead-end coordinator seats. Done well, this is a launch pad into:
- Service Management.
- Project Management.
- Estimation & Sales.
- Operations & Systems Development.
You’ll already be touching the work those roles own. The path is visible. The next step is earned.
Who Thrives at Hudson (And Who Doesn’t):
This is a high-performance team, not an unconditional family. Belonging is earned. Skills we can teach. Character we can’t.
You’ll thrive here if you:
- Stay calm when the phone, the inbox, a waiting technician, and a quote deadline all hit at once.
- Take the work seriously and treat people properly — customers and field techs included.
- Own the outcome: if something slips, you say so, fix it, and change the system so it doesn’t slip twice.
- Care about the details, because a sloppy schedule or a sloppy quote becomes someone else’s bad day on site.
- Can lead a problem one hour and handle the unglamorous follow-up the next.
- Like process, hate “we’ve always done it that way,” and want the board, the quote, and the customer experience to get sharper.
- Can laugh at yourself and still hold a standard.
You will not thrive here if you:
- Are arrogant, disrespectful, or unteachable.
- Talk down to field staff.
- Pass problems instead of owning them.
- Need a perfectly quiet desk to function.
- Are a jerk.
We say it clearly: No jerks. No exceptions.
Smarter, Not Harder — The Tools You’ll Run:
Hudson is tech-enabled on purpose. You will not be the person drowning in paper while the field waits.
You’ll get deep into:
- Our cloud-based field management system for scheduling, quoting, and invoicing.
- Digital work orders, schedules, drawings, and reports.
- Modern internal communication channels.
- Our internal AI-powered intranet for knowledge and support.
We innovate because trades operations deserve better tools — and this role is one of the people who makes those tools actually work.
What Hudson Offers:
- Competitive salary: $55,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Medical, dental, vision, life & disability benefits.
- Paid time off.
- Quarterly reviews + real career growth.
- Company events.
- On-site parking.
- A team with heart, humour, and drive.
Requirements:
- Experience in a coordinator, dispatch, service admin, estimating support, or similar role — ideally in service, construction, or a trade environment.
- Exceptional organization, written communication, and customer service.
- Comfort with modern office software (Google Workspace / Microsoft Office) and a willingness to master our field system.
- A calm, problem-solving demeanor when the day gets loud.
- Clean criminal record check.
Estimating experience is an asset, not a gate. If you can think in scope, time, and cost — and you learn fast — we can teach our pricing and products.

Values we can’t.
